Lorde’s Rare Appearance at Met Gala 2025 Brings the Melodrama

Lorde is looking quite royal at the 2025 Met Gala.
The “Supercut” singer lived that fantasy while hitting the red carpet at the annual fashion charity event, marking a rare public outing for the 28-year-old.
In honor of this year’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme and “Tailored for You” dress code, Lorde slipped into a metallic silver floor-length skirt set and matching blazer. But it was her barely-there top that stole the show, with the fabric strategically placed over her breast. (See more stars at the 2025 Met Gala here.)
The two-time Grammy winner joined Vogue‘s Anna Wintour at the May 5 event, which was also attended by this year’s celeb co-chairs A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton and Pharrell Williams. LeBron James, an honorary co-chair, also made a slam dunk appearance on the iconic Met Steps.
It’s been four years since Lorde last attended the Met Gala, turning up to the 2021 ball in a shirtless Bode look with a regal crown for the “In America: A Lexicon Of Fashion” celebration at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
