France-Algeria ties worsened further after author Boualem Sansal sentence to five years in prison

Algeria has sentenced French-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal to five years in prison on charges of “undermining national unity.” The sentence has worsened diplomatic relations between France and Algeria, which are now trying to resume dialogue. Matthew-Mary Caruchet has this story.
